She rose to great heights as a newspaper journalist, food critic, author and editor of Gourmet Magazine. Her delicious journey included six James Beard awards and judging television's Top Chef Masters, yet she valued the power of the family meal and taught generations to cook. The center of this Latin-inspired dinner will be an incredible pork roast, rubbed with spices and roasted to perfection in banana leaves. (If you have never tasted pork roasted in banana leaves, trust us, you are in for a juicy treat!) We will begin the meal with one of her wonderful appetizers (there are so many to choose from) and round out the meal with an extraordinary black bean dish.
