Francesca Martin

As a child of an immigrant father from Palermo, Sicily, Francesca was taught by the best Italian cooks, her momma and papa. She grew up in the Northeast area of Kansas City where she was among her family and friends that grew the freshest tomatoes, herbs and frequently baked Italian breads and pastries. Her love for cooking and serving traditional foods from her culture led her into creating elaborate dinner parties, company dinners, and personal chef positions. Along with her ability to cook, she brings another passion of hers to the table. Teaching elementary students for 35 years, she has gained skills and methods that can be utilized in showing others how to cook up all types of Italian foods and goodies in her repertoire. Along with cooking for many years, she has recently completed a Professional Culinary Arts Program Series I class with a world renowned chef. Now, after being retired from teaching, she has a passion to share her love of cooking and her parents’ favorite dishes with whomever wants to learn!
