Classes

Register online to reserve your place in one of our upcoming classes or call us at (816) 554-3755. In the case that you are using a gift certificate to register for a class, you must call our store.  All cooking classes must be paid for at time of reservation.  Please, do NOT wait to register - class sizes are extremely limited and will fill up quickly! If a class is full, please contact the store to be added to the wait list.
 
All classes are BYOB! Please feel free to bring your own wine or beer with you to enjoy with your meal. We’ll provide the glasses and openers! Water will be provided.
 
We will remain open for your private shopping during and after class.

Cancellation Policy:  If you cannot attend a class for which you are registered, you must notify us at least 7 calendar days prior to the class date. We will gladly refund your class fee or transfer you to another class as long as your request is made more than 7 calendar days prior to the class date. If you discover that you are unable to attend class within the 7 days prior, we encourage you to find a substitute to take your place.  Please understand that we cannot make exceptions. Full payment is expected at time of registration.  

Italian Steak Sandwich Dinner

Italian Steak sandwiches on crusty rolls served with homemade marinara and pasta, broccoli with fresh lemon and herbs, and fresh Italian biscotti with espresso


“My grown boys still ask me for these all the time!” Delicious breaded Italian steak is drenched in marinara sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese, and then toasted. Chef Francesca will also show you how to make two easy side dishes that pair wonderfully with this dinner. Like her traditional family dinners often end, she will make fresh brewed espresso with an authentic coffee pot and demitasse from her momma’s collection. She will serve up her biscotti too!  $65 per person

Come spend the evening enjoying the tantalizing flavors of Italy! Chef Matt will show you how to recreate some scrumptious dishes in your kitchen. We will start off with fresh baked Foccacia and Anti Pasta. For the Insalata, we will grill our Romaine for the Caesar Salad with local Pancetta, and make a fresh dressing. The freshness of the Minestrone Soup vegetables paired with Harvest Corn and parmesan, Magnifico! The main plate tonight will be Red Wine Braised Beef Shortribs with a Caramelized Onion Whipped Potatoes. For the Dessert, we will make Fresh Berry Tiramisu Cups to round out our evening together!  $65 per person

It’s time for Oktoberfest! Let’s begin with Beer Cheese Spread. The menu will also include Kartoffel Puffer (those delicious potato pancakes), Chicken Schnitzel, Brats with Sauerkraut and a delicious dessert. When you make this German menu at home, turn up the Polka music.   $65 per person

Artichoke pea soup, Italian Sausage tortellini soup, lentil and spinach soup served with fresh-made Italian sesame bread and Rosemary Herb Focaccia. Finish off with a scoop of Spumoni ice cream and rum sauce


Chef Francesca makes these soups just like her momma did years ago when meat was too expensive for their big Italian families. Now we can serve these soups to anyone who wants a good hearty soup! Come taste three different soups and learn how to make them with recipes written down from memory. Smells of fresh baked bread and focaccia will fill the room as we enjoy the evening! Holiday Entertaining Made Simple

Join Chef Matt as he gives you tips and tricks to simplify your holiday entertaining while giving your guests the best! We will break down how to build a Charcuterie Board as an appetizer. And we will learn an assortment of simple (and Yummy) Bruschetta toppings as well. For that "make ahead" Brunch item, he will share the best Quiche Lorraine recipe that will have them raving. How about treating your guests to a "make your own" Gourmet Grilled Cheese station with a Tomato Cognac Bisque? Want to know some definite winner tips for the perfect Turkey, and sample some of the that Juicy Bird as well. We will learn how to make Creme Puffs. You will also make a half dozen chocolate truffles together that you get to take home.   $65 per person

We will share recipes for all the classics—turkey, make ahead mashed potatoes, homemade gravy, a fresh twist on that green bean casserole, slow cooker dressing that frees up precious oven space, Parker House rolls and of course a traditional, delicious pie.  Need we say, come hungry? $65 per person.

Holiday Tea

Holiday gatherings are the most fun and we will help you be the gracious host. We will share all of the tips and recipes you need to host your own event in the style of a classic, English tea. Of course, we will begin with scones and clotted cream. The traditional menu will then feature an array of savory bites and holiday sweets. Bring your friends and let us keep that china cup filled with tea. It will be a beautiful and fun respite during this busy time of year.  $55 per person.
