Classes/Events

Register online to reserve your place in one of our upcoming classes or call us at (816) 554-3755. All cooking classes must be paid for at time of reservation.  Class sizes are extremely limited and tend to fill up quickly...If a class is full, please contact the store to be added to a wait list.  **If you are considering purchasing a class as a gift, we highly encourage you to purchase a gift certificate instead so that the recipient can select the menu and date that works best for them.**
 
All classes are BYOB! Please feel free to bring your own wine or beer with you to enjoy with your meal. We’ll provide the glasses and openers! Water/tea will be provided.  We will remain open for your private shopping during class.  All classes are 18+.

Cancellation Policy:  We have a strict 7 day cancellation policy.  We will gladly refund your class fee or transfer you to another class as long as your request is made more than 7 calendar days prior to the class date. If you discover that you are unable to attend class within the 7 days prior, we encourage you to find a substitute to take your place. Please understand that we cannot make exceptions.  

Greek Summer is Coming

Tonight we will enjoy a glimpse into what greek summer cuisine has to offer with Chef Aristo!  We will start the night with a Sauteed Octopus Salad.  The main event will be  Lemon Basil Chicken, Mashed Potato w/ Celery and sweet spring Carrots.  We'll finish the night with a light and bright Fruit Tarta Vanilla Pastry Cream and Berries.  Opa!  $80 per person 

Grown Up Tea Party Celebration

It’s a Grown Up Tea Party Celebration, in the style of a classic, English tea—but this time it is a tea that is packed with fun, laughter and scrumptious food. There is no better way to celebrate and enjoy time with your mom than giving her this unforgettable Mother’s Day Tea Party! Or treat yourself and invite that dear friend for a relaxing, well-earned break from the day-to-day rush while enjoying the magic of afternoon tea! Everyone is welcome, so it is the perfect time to treat that special guy or lady in your life to a delicious afternoon date and we guarantee you will both love the food. Everyone should come hungry as you will all enjoy an array of delectable sweet and savory morsels. Plus, you will leave with all of the recipes and tips, so you can easily host your own special party or bake a tasty bite for someone special. We will begin with scones, served with clotted cream and our own homemade strawberry jam, then we will serve course after course of scrumptious bites and sweets. Make sweet memories. Classic Spring Dinner

Spring is in full bloom and Chef Glen wants to honor the produce of the season!  Tonight, Chef Glen will start with Classic Wedge Salad, Blue Cheese, Crispy Bacon, Tomato Concasee.  The main course will include Marinated Pan Seared Flank Steak, Red Wine Demi Glaze, Baby Carrots, Green Beans and Spring Onions, along with Orzo Pasta Florentine.  He'll round out the evening with Brownie Ala Mode With Strawberry Ice Cream.  $80 per person. 

Italian Night

Join Chef Sophia tonight as she delights you with her take on Italian cuisine!  We'll start with a Chopped Iitalian salad, Homemade Focaccia bread and Minestrone soup.  She's going classic Italian with Chicken Spiedini with garlic caper sauce on bed of orzo pasta and vegetables.  We'll wrap up the night with a decadent Tiramisu.  $80 per person

Days are Getting Longer

Days are getting longer and Chef Aristo is the mood to celebrate the warmer weather with this delicious menu.  We will start the night with a refreshing Watermelon Feta Mint Salad. The main entree will be Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Red Wine Demi, accompanied by Wilted Spinach and Tomato, with Baby New Potatoes.  We'll finish the night with Ice Cream and Berry Flambe.  Opa!  $80 per person

Tapas for a Summer Evening

Tapas are small plates of deliciousness, served as appetizers, and meant to be shared. While Spanish in origin, these fun and fabulous bites are the ideal summer appetizer to serve at your next deck party—and you won’t even need a passport. Variety is the key to a tapas party and for this incredible evening, you will enjoy a lavish assortment of memorable appetizers.  Get ready to feast on Gambas al Ajillo (Shrimp in Garlic Sauce), empanadas, and a Spanish Tortilla which is similar to a savory layered potato and custard omelet. The evening will continue with Spanish meatballs, roasted potatoes in garlic aioli, chorizo filled dates wrapped in bacon, a tasty skewered, grilled artichoke with feta and a luscious goat cheese, roasted pepper and fig coulis on a grilled baguette. The sweet treat to end this fun evening will be a traditional flan. Have your friends and family come with you to enjoy a fun, delicious evening. Summertime Grilling

Join Chef Glen for some tips on grilling.  We will start off the evening with Shrimp & Grits, followed by a fresh spinach salad with applewood smoked bacon, hard cooked eggs, sweet red onion topped wotj hot bacon dressing.  The main course will be a marinated grilled Pork Tenderloin served with a vegetable strudel and hatch green chile rice....and for dessert Pots de Creme with fresh strawberries.  $80 per person. 

Summer in France

Join Chef Sophia tonight as she treats you to a dinner celebrating french countryside cuisine!  We'll start with a nicoise salad with honey sherry vinaigrette and bouillabaisse-seafood soup.  Classic coq au vin as the main entree along with mashed potatoes and french green beans.  No french dinner would be complete without creme brulee to finish off the night!   $80 per person
