Classes

Register online to reserve your place in one of our upcoming classes or call us at (816) 554-3755. In the case that you are using a gift certificate to register for a class, you must call our store.  All cooking classes must be paid for at time of reservation.  Please, do NOT wait to register - class sizes are extremely limited and will fill up quickly! If a class is full, please contact the store to be added to the wait list.
 
All classes are BYOB! Please feel free to bring your own wine or beer with you to enjoy with your meal. We’ll provide the glasses and openers! Water will be provided.
 
We will remain open for your private shopping during and after class.

Cancellation Policy:  If you cannot attend a class for which you are registered, you must notify us at least 7 calendar days prior to the class date. We will gladly refund your class fee or transfer you to another class as long as your request is made more than 7 calendar days prior to the class date. If you discover that you are unable to attend class within the 7 days prior, we encourage you to find a substitute to take your place.  Please understand that we cannot make exceptions. Full payment is expected at time of registration.

This is a virtual option for our St. Patty's Day Cookie Decorating Class.  Katie will bring a dozen pre-baked themed sugar cookies to our store for you to pick up on Saturday, March 13, 2021.  We will provide the link and instructions to access the online class where you will still get the full decoration demonstration, instruction, and assistance. Katie will teach a variety of techniques (piped icing, cookie painting, sprinkle accents, flooding, etc.) via a pre-recorded "class" that you will get to complete at your own pace and in the safety of your own home. Erase your doubts and fears, get out that trusty black skillet and get cooking. Many people think that pan is a bit mysterious, but in reality, it is a simple, sure-fire way to cook the very best foods you can imagine.  We will begin with an appetizer that showcases the benefits of cast iron cooking. We will move on to Chicken Fried Steak and Gravy (and of course, there will be a side of mashed potatoes) that will rival Grandma’s!  Cast iron is the ideal skillet to make Blistered Green Beans with Peppers, then we will end the evening with a delicious sweet treat. Bring your questions and leave confident to use the pan that is the favorite of chefs around the world.  $65 per person

We'll start our journey this evening with Hummus, Baba Ghanoush & Crudites - chickpea & eggplant dips with vegetables.  Then travel on to Decorated Flatbread and Dolmas - spiced beef and rice wrapped in grape leaf.  The main course will include Tapenade Chicken - olive, sundried tomato, capers & fresh herbs and Baklava - lavender honey, walnut, butter, baked in phylo to will complete the meal.  $65 per person

Let our menu, evocative of all things French, transport you to the City of Lights. A small neighborhood cafe, a bistro with a zinc-topped bar. Bring your own aperitif or bottle of wine as we enjoy Smoked Goat Cheese Salad, a smoky take on a bistro classic with Homemade Baguettes made from a no-knead, 4-ingredient dough. Then on to Chicken Marengo, named after a Napoleonic battle, on a bed of Nouilles (egg noodles). For dessert, a Pear Tart with Warm Chocolate Ganache. C'est si bon! $65 per person
