Classes/Events

Register online to reserve your place in one of our upcoming classes or call us at (816) 554-3755. All cooking classes must be paid for at time of reservation.  Class sizes are extremely limited and tend to fill up quickly...If a class is full, please contact the store to be added to a wait list.  **If you are considering purchasing a class as a gift, we highly encourage you to purchase a gift certificate instead so that the recipient can select the menu and date that works best for them.**
 
All classes are BYOB! Please feel free to bring your own wine or beer with you to enjoy with your meal. We’ll provide the glasses and openers! Water/tea will be provided.  We will remain open for your private shopping during class.  All classes are 18+.

Cancellation Policy:  We have a strict 7 day cancellation policy.  We will gladly refund your class fee or transfer you to another class as long as your request is made more than 7 calendar days prior to the class date. If you discover that you are unable to attend class within the 7 days prior, we encourage you to find a substitute to take your place. Please understand that we cannot make exceptions.

Knife Skills - Hands On 
Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Join Chef Matt this evening for this informative and useful "Hands On" class as he demonstrates how to safely become quicker, and ultimately enjoy working with a knife in your home kitchen. You will want to bring your Chef Knife or favorite from home (no tiny knives) as this one is interactive, and you will be practicing your cuts on a variety of vegetables. Dinner will be served the first 30 minutes of class so we can focus on those knife cuts. Chef Matt will also demonstrate on several proteins such as chicken and some red meats focusing on how to trim them out for different recipes. You will not only learn how, but why we cut things in different shapes and sizes. The goal of this class is to make your time in the kitchen simpler, less time consuming, and more pleasurable.  $80 per person

A Foolproof Feast

It is a foolproof feast that is sure to delight and amuse everyone!  Come hungry for an incredible dinner, artfully prepared, but with a few unexpected twists and turns.  The star of the evening will be a Wellington, but we are just not going to give you all the inside scoop—no pun intended—of what is nestled under that crisp crust.  We will feature a delicious salad that is sure to please, but no fooling —there will not be a shred of lettuce present. That fantastic Wellington will be accompanied by Herbed Parmesan Rice and a new twist on roasted broccoli.  We will begin and end this scrumptious evening with delectable tomfoolery, so we will not reveal what the appetizer or dessert will be. Trust us and come hungry, ready for a fun feast full of surprises and laughter.  $90 per person

Join Chef Matt tonight as a he takes you on a trip to explore the beautiful countryside cuisine of Sonoma. We will start the evening with an appetizer of Crab Cakes with Chili-Lime Avocado Aioli. The salad will feature fresh market greens with toasted nuts, great cheese, and a Sherry Vinaigrette. The Entree is a Espresso Rubbed Striploin Steak roasted to perfection, with Crispy Garlic Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, and Spring Time Asparagus.  vChef will bake off some of his Artisan Breads to accompany the dinner, and for dessert, a Brown Sugar Oatmeal Strawberry Shortcake.  $90 per person

Welcome this delightful season at our delicious spring tea.  Our annual tea class is a sight to behold and a feast for all to enjoy. It is the perfect time to celebrate the arrival of spring, honor mom and all the important people in your life, enjoy a relaxing, well-earned break from the day-to-day with a friend or savor the evening with that special guy or lady. It is an evening packed with fun, laughter and scrumptious food for all to enjoy. This event is in the style of a classic, English tea—so come hungry as the plentiful array of sweet and savory recipes will be served in multiple courses, creating a fantastic feast. Plus, you leave with all of the recipes and tips, so you can easily host your own event or special party. Our teas begin with cream scones, served with clotted cream and our own homemade strawberry jam, then you will enjoy an all-new array of unforgettable appetizers and sweets.
