Classes

Register online to reserve your place in one of our upcoming classes or call us at (816) 554-3755. All cooking classes must be paid for at time of reservation.  Please, do NOT wait to register - class sizes are extremely limited and will fill up quickly! If a class is full, please contact the store to be added to the wait list.
 
All classes are BYOB! Please feel free to bring your own wine or beer with you to enjoy with your meal. We’ll provide the glasses and openers! Water will be provided.
 
We will remain open for your private shopping during and after class.

Cancellation Policy:  If you cannot attend a class for which you are registered, you must notify us at least 7 calendar days prior to the class date. We will gladly refund your class fee or transfer you to another class as long as your request is made more than 7 calendar days prior to the class date. If you discover that you are unable to attend class within the 7 days prior, we encourage you to find a substitute to take your place. Please understand that we cannot make exceptions. Full payment is expected at time of registration.

Join us tonight as we spend an evening celebrating the Holidays, and the beautiful foods of Italy. We will start off with a Caprese Salad with Fresh Mozzarella. For the following course Chef Matt will prepare a Tuscan Vegetable Soup with his fresh Focaccia bread. The Main vent this evening with be a Slow Roasted Prime Rib with a Fresh Herb and Sea Salt Crust (True Tuscan Style) served with a Romano Scalloped Potatoes, and Olive Oil Sauteed Green Beans. For the Dessert this evening, Chef will be serving his signature Tiramisu!

Chef Francesca wants to share some wonderful foods that were served during her family’s Christmas and New Year holiday dinners. These recipes come from her Sicilian grandma and should not be missed. We will start with a simple Italian salad with a balsamic and olive oil dressing. Then the fun begins. Begin with a stuffed artichoke while she fries up Arancini (rice balls), and finish with Braciole (stuffed round steak). For dessert, homemade Italian cookies and espresso.

Snow may be falling and winds blowing, but with your cast iron skillet you can enjoy the best tasting pizza at home. This class was such a smashing success we decided to offer cast iron pizza again. First, you will enjoy an Italian style salad with an Italian vinaigrette. Then on to pizza with recipes and tips for crusts, sauce and toppings. For a busy family evening, we will show you to prepare Quick and Easy Crust, with Easy-Peasy Sauce, topped with Italian Sausage and Pepperoni. We bet you will love the 24-hour Artisan Crust and we will top it with vegetables and goat cheese. And no pizza class would be complete without a deep-dish pizza. For a sweet dessert to end the class we will serve a treat from our cookbook, The Best Cast Iron Baking Book.  $75 per person

It's time for a Sushi party! Come learn how to roll Sushi with Chef Sophia Chatfield as she teaches you the basics, and some new trending techniques. You will learn about Sushi, and where to shop for the "good stuff" in the Kansas City. Students will make several different rolls throughout the night to practice their new Sushi Skills. This is a hands on class, come prepared to have a blast and get rolling with a Chef who has taught more than 60 Sushi classes!

This is a POP UP Dining Experience and NOT a class..... think tableclothes, candlelight, maybe some romance, and definitely some delicious food!  This night of Sicilian foods will start with a Parmigiana di Melanzane and some fresh Italian bread with an herbed extra virgin olive oil dip. Then a wonderful dish Chef Francesca’s family frequently had-Penne con Cauliflower. For the main course, a bright orange salad and a Beef Spiedini will be served. Finally, end this delightful evening of traditional foods with Gelato
con Brioche!!  $85 per person.
