Red Velvet Cake seems to be a favorite but often perplexes many cake lovers because they
can’t figure it out; if it’s not a red chocolate cake, then what is it?! We’ll talk briefly about the cake’s origins then get busy with learning how to put together our own take on this southern classic. We’ll be pairing tender and moist Red Velvet layers with a surprise cheesecake mousse and finishing our creations with the perfect cream cheese buttercream. You’ll leave having learned how to stack, fill, crumb-coat, and apply the final layer of buttercream and simple buttercream decoration. Don’t worry, we’ll practice before piping on your cake. This class is full of fun and knowledge for beginner cake decorators or for those who need a refresher. All materials will be provided to take the class including a box for participants to take their finished cake home. $75 per person
