How to register - Call us at the shop (816)554-3755 for your reservation.  All cooking classes must be paid for at time of reservation.  Please, don't wait to register!  We have minimums and maximums for each class, we don't want you to miss out! 

Cancellation Policy - We are happy to honor requests for refunds or transfers to another class as long as it is made more than seven (7) calendar days prior to the class date.  We encourage you to find a substitute should you discover that you are unable to attend within the seven (7) days prior to class.  Please understand that we cannot make exceptions.  We have a minimum number of students required in order for a class to occur.  We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, in which a full refund will be given. 

Full payment is expected at time of registration. Bad Weather Policy - We will make a determination no later than 2 hours prior to a class and will make every attempt to notify you by phone at the phone number you provide us upon registration and/or email.  If we are not able to speak with you in person, we will leave a message.  We encourage you to call us if in doubt. Unless you hear from us the class will be held.

Pomodori!  An Italian Tomato and Mozza Workshop

This is Jasper's newest class and workshop using local Heirloom Tomatoes and of course his famous hand pulled Mozzarella used in multiple courses. Jasper will discuss the history at the Tomato along with offering some new and unique recipes from his recent travels to local farms that supply chefs in the Kansas City area. You will also learn the secrets of making cheese curds and pulling fresh Mozzarella. For dessert, a unique Tomato Tart with fresh Ricotta.

Indian Cooking
Chef Jyoti is back with another class of delectable Indian recipes.  She will start with "aloo pakoras" as an appetizer. These are scalloped potatoes dipped in spicy gram flour batter, fried to a golden 
yellow and served with homemade cilantro chutney.  This will be followed by a "chicken Korma with aloo" a traditional chicken curry made in most Indian homes and "bharva bhindi" which is okra stuffed with spices, cooked to perfection.  We will then learn to make  a yoghurt and roasted egg plant dish, that makes an excellent dip too, but in the Indian home is used as a side dish.  All this will be served with rice & followed by "custard and jelly" which is an egg-less custard with cubes of jelly that makes a very refreshing dessert.  The entire menu is gluten free!

Come and learn to make the kinds of classic dishes you would get to sample while dining in a Paris Bistro in Autumn. Chef Paige will start the class with a classic Bistro Salad of Hearty Greens with Garlic, Croutons, Bacon and a Mustard-y Vinaigrette. For your entree you will sample Daube Provencal (a delicious red wine beef stew from the south of France) and Gratin Dauphinois (the classic potatoes au gratin). For dessert Chef Paige will teach you how to make one of her all-time favorite desserts: Pear & Frangipane Tart.
